Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) lists Phoenix clinical openings such as behavior therapist/RBT, senior therapist, and BCBA roles. Its career page advertises a $1,000 annual professional-development stipend and 100% tuition assistance for employees who qualify for its ABA master’s program. These are SARRC-specific benefits; confirm current openings and eligibility with the employer before treating them as part of an offer.
SARRC’s Community School has a Phoenix campus with blended preschool classrooms for children 15 months to 5 years, including ABA-based programming for children with autism. That makes the local setting early-childhood and classroom-based, alongside the organization’s broader clinical work. Applicants can ask whether a particular opening is school-based, home/community-based, or in its comprehensive behavioral program; those settings involve different schedules and day-to-day duties.

Arizona regulates independent behavior-analytic practice through the Board of Psychologist Examiners. The Board’s general licensure pathway includes 1,500 hours of supervised fieldwork that meets Arizona rules and the BACB BCBA examination; BCBA certification and the Arizona LBA license are separate credentials. For Arizona client work, the Board says the trainee’s supervisor must be licensed in Arizona, including when supervision is remote.
For a technician or RBT position, ask who directs the treatment plan, how sessions are observed, and which duties belong to the technician versus the LBA. Arizona law exempts certain noncredentialed people who deliver ABA under an LBA’s extended authority and direction, and bars them from claiming to be a professional behavior analyst. RBT certification does not replace an Arizona LBA license. Check the statute and license directory before relying on an employer’s supervision arrangement.
