Permitted sources only
We use employer career sites and other sources that permit access through an API, feed, or authorized data provider. We do not build LinkedIn or Indeed scrapers. Source rules, robots directives, and reasonable rate limits are part of the ingestion decision.
Every import starts unpublished
Jobs are checked automatically against approved employer sources before publication. We check role relevance, employer, location, application links, and source content, and remove duplicate postings. These checks do not imply that a person has independently vetted the employer or the role.
What review checks
- The role is relevant to the active job category.
- The employer and location are identifiable.
- The description is substantial enough to evaluate.
- The application URL is a valid external web address.
- Compensation and work-arrangement claims match the supplied listing.
- Missing, suspicious, or conflicting fields prevent automatic publication.
AI enrichment and fact checks
AI prepares a summary, source-backed highlights, and questions to ask the employer. Highlights include the employer's wording, and separate automated checks look for unsupported claims. Uncertain summaries are withheld. The original employer description remains available, and you can always check the application page.
Paid placement and editorial independence
Some employers may pay for featured placement. We label featured jobs clearly. Payment can affect placement, but it does not guarantee publication, bypass source checks, alter employer-supplied job facts, or prevent a correction or removal.
Corrections and expiration
Known expiry dates remove jobs from public listings and structured data. Listings without an expiry date receive a conservative age limit so stale jobs do not remain public indefinitely. For a correction, contact us with the public job URL and the specific field that needs review.
Frequently asked questions
Does an imported job appear immediately?
Eligible openings can be published automatically after the employer source, application link, category, job details, and AI-generated brief pass checks. Failed checks keep a job unpublished.
Can a featured employer skip checks?
No. Paid placement may change ordering after publication, but every listing follows the same source and content checks.
How do I report an inaccurate salary or expired job?
Send the public job URL and the disputed detail to hello@specialneedsjobs.org.
